System Design:
We will evaluate your needs and custom design a system including the appropriate batteries, racks and cabinets to provide the best possible solution. We are not limited to any particular manufacturer, hence we are able to design systems to exactly match the needs of each situation.
Installation:
Following design we provide installation and ongoing maintenance. We are able to provide high level support and installation to all our customers through our nationwide sales and service affiliations. We pride ourselves on providing professional, custom, efficient work on all our installations, while getting the job done correctly. All our work is in accordance with OEM and IEEE standards.
Onsite/Offsite Charging:
Project delays are common occurrences in the building construction and renovation industry. If you find yourself in the situation where the batteries have been delivered but the building infrastructure is not in place to install and charge the batteries then let Nor-Cal Battery assist. We offer both onsite float charging with our inventory of TD chargers or transportation of the batteries to our facility for safe storage and charging in a clean environment.
Commissionary and Capacity Testing:
We use BCT-2000 Series, Continuous Load Units, Infrared, and CRT-400 for testing.
BCT-2000 is the only way to determine where the battery resides on its expected life curve. The BCT-2000 performs a capacity test using a programmed constant current or constant power load and an integrity test using a high current momentary load, allowing identification of weak cells and conduction paths. The data acquisition module acquires all cell voltage overall string voltage and current readings.
The Continuous Load Unit provides the load during a capacity test. It may be used with the BCT-2000, the BDS monitor or stand alone with the Manual Control Box. The Load Units can be ordered in standard configurations or be tailored to individual customer needs.
The CRT-400, Alber’s handheld Cellcorder, utilizes the well-proven and patented DC resistance test to eliminate guess work when trying to identify a failing battery. It is designed to comply with IEEE Recommended Practices for Battery Maintenance and testing.
